After a long wait, Final Fantasy XV's PC version is less than two weeks away from launch, and Square Enix announced today an interesting bonus that will arrive to those who purchase the game via Steam. The company has partnered up with Valve to bring everyone's favorite crowbar wielding silent protagonist from Half-Life - or rather his likeness - Gordon Freeman to Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition, for an unlikely crossover.
Everyone who purchases the game via Steam before May 1 will receive the Half-Life Pack, a selection of bonus equipment that lets players dress up the game's protagonist Noctis and their multiplayer character in the included Comrades expansion as the hero from Half-Life. The full costume, seen below, consists of the HEV Suit, Scientist Glasses, as well as the signature Crowbar.
Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition is slated to launch on March 6 on Steam, Microsoft Store, and Origin. The pre-order bonuses differ for each platform, and details regarding each one can be found here.
Beyond that, Square Enix will also launch a free demo next week on February 26, available for download on all three aforementioned platforms. The demo will let players experience the entirety of the game's first chapter, including the tutorial and several main quests.
