Beta 1 for the next generation Firefox browser is now available to download. Version 1.5 is due to be released this year, but Beta 1 allows you to get a first glimpse at some of the enhancements the Mozilla team are hoping to include in the next version of the browser.
Included in Beta 1 is a now updated "Automated Update" feature, allowing users to update the browser with updates less than half a megabyte or smaller. There has also been an improvement to how extensions are updated. Also included in Deer Park is the ability to drag and drop browser tabs so that they can be put in any order.
Other notable improvements include an advanced popup blocker and faster browsing through better backwards and forwards buttons. Beta 1 also includes the latest security enhancements. Beta 1 (Deer Park) is available to download from the Mozilla homepage.
