Microsoft's new Surface Pro commercial will first officially air on television during tonight's Grammy Awards, but attendees of the company's Las Vegas Fashion Show Mall launch party for the tablet got to see the advertisement a day early.
The commercial, which was directed by Jon M. Chu (who directed the Surface with Windows RT commercial and is the director of the upcoming "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" film), primarily showcases the fact that the tablet has a full-sized USB port and features a pen digitizer. Much like Chu's first Surface commercial, the ad features choreographed dancing with the tablet.
Microsoft had planned a similar launch event in New York City, but those plans were scrapped because of the severe snow storm that hit the New England region. The Surface Pro tablet was released Saturday to supply issues, as stores around the U.S. were given small quantities of the tablet, with some Best Buy locations even receiving just one or two. Despite the lack of supply, several stores have seen long lines for the tablet.
Microsoft has yet to release the commercial on its YouTube page. When it does, this post will be updated.
Update: Microsoft has uploaded the commercial to their YouTube page, and it can now be seen below.
