Another World Update enhancement has touched down on Microsoft Flight Simulator. Like previous ones, this touts visual and intricate updates to several new regions. Today's World Update VIII is all about elevating Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar and Andorra.
"Start exploring the coastal nooks of the Mediterranean and Atlantic, the heights of the Pyrenees, and legendary architecture of cities like Lisbon and Madrid," touts the developer in the announcement. "Fly over the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia to appreciate its architectural details, admire the innovation at the Aqueduct of Segovia and the richness of the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia."
The enhancements being carried in the free update for the mentioned places have high resolution geographic data that bumps up elevation accuracy, adds photogrammetry as well as new aerial imagery. Also included are four handcrafted airports, 99 new points of interest to check out while flying, four discovery flights, four bush trips, and five landing challenges.
The developer has also added over 1000 missing airports, Portuguese localization, and fixed a variety of bugs. The full patch notes can be read here.
Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update VIII is now available across PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and to all Xbox and PC Game Pass subscribers.
