Ubisoft games aren't strangers to crossovers with other franchises from within the company, and today arrived the announcement of a Prince of Persia event in For Honor. The multiplayer fighting game is hosting a surprise Blades of Persia event for the next two weeks, bringing along a new game mode and Prince of Persia-themed loot to grab.
The Ruler of Time game mode takes place in an alternate Harbor map where players will go through Dominion rounds infested with sand creatures. At certain times, however, the Prince himself will step out of a sand tornado to fight players on both sides while wielding the Dagger of Time. Beating him will earn the winner's side additional points towards winning the game, but it will be a difficult task considering the arsenal of moves he has at his disposal like teleporting and rewinding time.
This format will only last until March 12, which is when the second half of the event kicks off. During this period, the map will once again undergo a themed remodeling, and now the Dark Prince will be coming into the battlefield. More information about this second chapter will be unveiled once it is closer to launch.
The Blades of Persia event also delivers 26 new weapons that can be looted until April 2, a free event pass to earn 30 tiers of gear including Prince of Persia-themed cosmetics, outfits and executions to purchase from the in-game store, and more.
The first chapter of this For Honor event is now available to play on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
