E3 2018 is just a few days away, and as expected, the leaks have started to pour in. So far, we've had confirmations of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Fallout 76, and Rage 2. Now, rumors regarding Fortnite coming to the Nintendo Switch are surfacing as well.
Fortnite for the Nintendo Switch has been listed on the Korean game ratings board. The site also mentions that the age rating details as follows (translated):
A third-person shooter action Nintendo switch game that collects resources and builds defensive fortresses to stop monsters.
Comic expression of a slight level of attack.
(Attack expression using various weapons against human and extraterrestrial life)
Therefore , according to Article 21 of the Game Industry Promotion Act and Article 9 (2) of the Classification Deliberation Regulation, it is decided to be classified as "12 years old".
There's not much else known about this alleged unveiling just yet, but we will likely learn more about it at E3 2018.
Following the launch of its Battle Royale mode last year, Fortnite soared to popularity. Although the game has received many updates and changes - the most recent one being the ability to use a shopping cart as a vehicle - it still faces copyright infringement lawsuits from one particular competitor, namely PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.
The title has been released on several platforms such as PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and iOS already. Seeing that it will launch shortly on Android too, it seems only natural that the developer would target Nintendo's massively popular Switch console as well.
