With the beginning of a new month arrives two additional free games for Xbox Live Gold members just as Microsoft announced last month. This time around, both games are racing focused, coming with Forza Motorsport 5: Racing Game of the Year Edition for Xbox One, that includes the Top Gear Car Pack; and Hydro Thunder Hurricane, the classic speedboat racing title for Xbox 360. The latter is also accessible on Xbox One consoles through backward compatibility.
The two games can be claimed right now via their store links listed below:
Forza Motorsport 5: Racing Game of the Year Edition (Xbox One, September 1 - 30)
Forza Motorsport 5 is your ultimate car fantasy, only possible on Xbox One. Featuring an entirely new graphics engine, 16-player multiplayer, cloud-powered gameplay, and hundreds of perfectly recreated cars, Forza Motorsport 5 is where dreams are driven
Hydro Thunder Hurricane (Xbox 360, September 1 - 15)
This all-new sequel to the legendary arcade hit features amazing dynamic water physics, transformable rocket-powered boats, gorgeous visuals and over-the-top interactive environments. Single player games include Race and Championship, and two brand new modes: Ring Master and the explosive Gauntlet. Combine local 4-player split-screen and online multiplayer games with 8 players over Xbox LIVE.
Ubisoft's platform-racer Trials Fusion from last month's Games with Gold promotion is still available for Xbox One owners who missed out on it. Keep in mind that only claimed Xbox 360 games will remain playable if the Gold subscription is discontinued, unlike claimed Xbox One games, which are only accessible with an active subscription.
Meanwhile, Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass program is introducing six more games today, bringing hit titles such as Metro: Last Light Redux, Fable 2, The Bridge, and more, joining ReCore: Definitive Edition from earlier in the week.
Also, what looks to be the entire Assassin's Creed franchise, Rainbow Six Siege, Mafia III, and several other games are discounted in this week's Deals with Gold promotion.
