Developer Turn 10 Studios has been racing through Forza Motorsport 7, trying not to cut any corners as it nears its date with the winner's circle on October 3. But good news for racing fans is that the game has already gone gold, and drivers will be able to get behind the wheel for a demo later this month.
The demo, available for Xbox One and Windows 10, will offer three different vehicles for racers to try, each on its own track. The Porsche 911 GT2 RS, Forza Motorsport 7's cover car, will hit the road on the Dubai circuit at the Jebel Hafeet Pass. The massive Mercedes-Benz Tankpool racing truck will be available for testing at the Mugello circuit in Italy, while the Nissan NISMO GT-R LM will hit the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit.
The demo will also feature dynamic weather conditions, with thunderstorms bringing growing puddles of water that can affect driving conditions. Players will be able to adjust difficulty levels, while PC users will be able to scale the experience to fit the performance of their PC, depending on processor and video card.
The demo will be available for download on September 19, which should give racers plenty of practice for when the game is officially released two weeks later.
To build some excitement for the release, Microsoft released a new live-action commercial for the game featuring a game of musical cars, starring professional driver Ken Block and CarCast host Adam Corolla.
