GameCube dev kits for UK universities

Nintendo and SN Systems announce a deal that will see four leading UK Universities gaining access to GameCube development tools.

Nintendo and SN Systems have today announced a deal that will see four of the UK's leading universities incorporating Nintendo GameCube development as part of their core syllabus. SN Systems has been able to reduce the cost of its SN-TDEV GameCube development kits by up to 60 percent, making them a viable option for universities whose students have previously been unable to get hands-on experience with such tools.

"This agreement will open up a whole new level of education and research for both students and staff," said Dr. John Purdy, from the University of Hull. "Through being exposed to such extensive practical experience our students will leave university with a greater depth of understanding about how the theory relates to the practical. We are always striving to attract high-caliber students, and this announcement will undoubtedly stimulate an even greater level of interest from prospective students."
