Are you a loyal game player? If so, you must be looking forward to the release of several games due to be released in the latter part of April. The following list showcases Games Released between April 21 and April 30. It also contains the description and release time of each game. Keep this page bookmarked to ensure you won't miss out.
1. Portal 2
Platform: PC, PS3, X360
Release: 21 April
Nobody expected an awful lot from Portal when it first came out. With Half Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 the headline titles on the The Orange Box compilation, Portal was expected to be a nice added extra. Instead, the gravity puzzler turned out to be many people's game of the year for 2007, meaning the game's sequel has some serious hype to live up to. Multiplayer options and new puzzle elements such as special gels that alter the physics of the game world are among the new additions, while a voice cast that includes Stephen Merchant adds polish.
2. Mortal Kombat
Platform: PS3, X360
Release: 21 April
Here's another reboot. The games industry currently seems to be busy starting from scratch with just about every well-known gaming series, and Mortal Kombat is the latest to get the treatment. That means a return to old-school, 90s-style fighter action, with thoroughly updated visuals and an in-depth single-player mode alongside the game's multiplayer options. Finishing it off, of course, is MK's trademark ultra-violence.
3. Operation Flashpoint: Red River
Platform: X360, PS3, PC
Release: 21 April
This follow-up to Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is a tactical shooter which aims to be more accessible than its predecessor (without dumbing down so much that gung-ho lone wolf play will save the day). Red River's four-player co-op mode looks particularly interesting, with the importance of teamwork leading some to describe this as a military version of Left 4 Dead.
