Microsoft's Games with Gold program is back with two more free games for Xbox Live Gold members to grab. Arriving as the second injection of games for September, Xbox One owners can now claim Livelock while Xbox 360 owners have Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World to add to their libraries. The latter Xbox 360 game is also available to claim on the Xbox One thanks to backward compatibility.
Here are the store links to claim the games directly:
Livelock (Xbox One)
Livelock is a co-operative top-down shooter where you play solo or with up to two allies to break the cycle of infinite war between machines. As one of the remaining Capital Intellects, your role is to unlock Eden and revive humanity. Take control of one of three mechanical chassis - Hex, Vanguard or Catalyst – to defeat intelligent mechanical enemies.
Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World (Xbox 360, Xbox One)
Bring peace back to Monster World in these three classic action RPG titles: Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonder Boy in Monster World, and for the first time outside of Japan, Monster World IV!
Meanwhile, don't forget that Prison Architect from the last Games with Gold promotion is still available for free to Xbox One owners, with the promotion slated to be replaced on October 1. And lastly, keep in mind that only claimed Xbox 360 games will remain playable if the Gold subscription is discontinued, while claimed Xbox One games need an active subscription to play.
