Comic-Con has arrived and with it comes a ton of interesting game announcements. Let's go over them now:
- Capcom has announced Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3. This new version of the crossover fighting game for the Xbox 360 and PS3 is due out in November and adds 12 new fighters along with other new content.
- Activision has announced plans for 007 Goldeneye: Reloaded. Due out this fall for the Xbox 360 and PS3 this is a graphical upgrade, with additional content, that's based on the 2010 Wii FPS (which of course is based on the classic Nintendo 64 game).
- Activision also announced release dates for three upcoming games: X-Men Destiny is due out on September 27, Spider-Man: Edge of Time is coming out on October 4 and Prototype 2 will be released on April 24, 2012.
- Seamless Entertainment announced plans to release SOL: Exodus, a downloadable space combat game inspired by the Wing Commander and Freespace series. It's due out this fall
- Disney Interactive has named former Blizzard executive Bill Roper to be the new head of the company's Marvel Games division.
- Team Fortress 2 has new in-game items that have been designed by the famed WETA Workshop.
- Brace yourself: A Nightmare on Elm Street's glove bladed villain Freddy Krueger will be available as a new downloadable fighter in Mortal Kombat on August 9.
- Star Wars The Old Republic will hold special beta weekends in September allowing some people to test out the upcoming MMO game.
- Mad Catz has announced plans to release official Gears of War 3 branded headsets later this year.
