Once again it was a busy day for gaming news so let's get a move on and dive right in:
- Mad Catz, best known as the makers of gaming controllers and peripherals for consoles and PCs, have announced the launch of its game development division ThunderHawk Studios. The team will work on an unnamed flight simulator MMO game to launch in 2012.
- The first in-game trailer for the first person shooter Serious Sam 3 has been released.
- Aliens Colonial Marines has been re-announced and will be out in spring 2012.
- Brink PS3 and Xbox 360 players can check out the game's multiplayer stats page.
- Dirt 3 has released its first DLC pack, which adds the Ford Escort Mark II to the game for $1.99. All profits from the pack will go to the Colin McRae Vision Charity.
- The Magicka Nippon DLC pack has been released for 99 cents. Until June 5 50 percent of all proceeds from the DLC will go to the Japan Relief Support program.
- Zombie Studios will develop a downloadable action game for Xbox 360 and PS3 based on the Top Cow published comic book Hunter-Killer.
- The pricing for the premium and content packs for the upcoming free-to-play MMO RTS game Age of Empires Online has been revealed.
- Both the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the first person shooter Section 8 Prejudice will get a double XP multiplayer weekend this coming weekend.
- Darksiders II has been confirmed by THQ. The sequel to the fantasy action game will be released in 2012.
- Interplay, once one of the biggest game publishers on the planet, is currently in a dire financial situation ... again.
- Batman Arkham City will have Catwoman as a playable character when it is released.
