Yes, there's so much gaming news on Saturday (thanks in part to E3) that we had to break out a special Saturday edition of the gaming news round-up:
- Looks like Metal Gear Solid Rising will in fact be a no-show at E3 2011 for publisher Konami. However there's big news for the game planned for "winter".
- Insomniac Games will officially reveal its first multiplatform game with publisher Electronic Arts at EA's pre-E3 press conference.
- CCP Games has launched a countdown clock on the Dust514.com web site indicating something is being announced on Monday.
- Xbox 360 and PS3 players can get the Batarang console game controllers (no this is not a joke) later this fall.
- Blizzard is looking to hire a PS3-based senior software engineer for Diablo III.
- Is Sony's upcoming NGP portable console going to support Flash?
- The Battlefield 3 team will be showing off a never-before-seen multiplayer map, Operation Metro, during its E3 2011 presentation.
- THQ will bring its uDraw tablet, previously released for the Wii, to the PS3 and Xbox 360 game consoles this fall.
- Darksiders II, officially announced earlier this week, will also be an E3 2011 no show. But you can still check out the game's first screenshots.
- The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim will have over 60,000 lines of dialogue. Oh, and lots of dragons.
- Trion Worlds, makers of the MMO Rift, will finally show off their MMO collaboration with the SyFy Channel, Defiance, at E3 2011.
- The next big update for DC Universe Online will add Superman's Fortress of Solitude to the MMO game.
