So that Grand Theft Auto V reveal took everyone by surprise this morning. It's going to be interesting to see that trailer a week from Wednesday. But there were other bits of news that came out today:
- New rumors about GTA V claim that the game will be set in a fictional version of Los Angeles (a return to San Andreas, perhaps?).
- In related news, the stock price for the game's publisher Take Two Interactive went up 5.77 percent today after the news hit about GTA V's reveal.
- The PC hardware requirements for The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim have now been revealed.
- There's a double XP multiplayer period coming this weekend for both Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty Black Ops.
- You can now make your character for Saints Row The Third ahead of the game's release on November 15.
- Dungeon Siege III players can now download the Treasures of the Sun DLC expansion pack for $9.99 via Steam.
- You can also download the Artifacts of Power DLC pack for Orcs Must Die for just $1.99 for a limited time.
- Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine owners can now download the free four player co-op themed Exterminatus DLC pack.
- Ubisoft has announced plans to open a new game development studio in Abu Dhabi.
- An appeals court has upheld a previous court decision that awarded $32 million to game developer pioneer Richard Garriott in his lawsuit against NCsoft.
- Batman: Arkham City sold 2 million copies in its first week of release and shipped a total of 4.6 million copies to stores
