Gateway, Inc. today will deliver its 25 millionth PC, 16 years after the company was founded in a Sioux City, Iowa, farmhouse. Quentin and Theresa Vasconcellos of Glendale, Ariz., who ordered the Gateway 500X PC last week at a Phoenix-area Gateway store, will receive the PC free of charge today in honor of the sales milestone.
"Gateway today is becoming the leading provider of one-stop technology for consumers and small businesses," said Gateway Chairman and CEO Ted Waitt. "Over the past 16 years this industry has changed a lot, but one thing that hasn't changed is that our customers are the heart of Gateway. Millions of people, like the Vasconcellos family, trust Gateway to understand their technology needs and provide personalized solutions."
