A few days ago, Samsung confirmed the existence of its upcoming smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy M51, by teasing the mid-ranger on Amazon India. This offered a pretty good look at the phone and also divulged some of key its features. A promotional picture with the caption "Meanest Monster Ever" has a footnote underneath stating that the smartphone is coming soon. Based on this teaser, it was assumed that the Galaxy M51 would initially debut in India.
This notion was contradicted by today's proceedings when the listing for the Galaxy M51 appeared on the official Samsung Germany website. It seems that customers located in that region can now pre-order the phone. Apart from revealing the price of the Galaxy handset, the page also disclosed the complete technical specifications of the phone including the camera details which were previously unknown.
As seen in the image above, the previous suspicions about a quad-camera setup were accurate. The Samsung Galaxy M51's main camera will comprise of a 64MP main lens, a 12MP ultra wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, a 32 MP selfie snapper will be housed in a punch-hole cutout. Unfortunately, the chipset is not specified except for the fact that it will be an octa-core processor.
The phone will be available with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, expandable to 512GB via microSD. Other details include a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O display, a gigantic 7000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Samsung Knox security. It will run OneUI out the box, most likely the latest version based on Android 10.
Samsung Galaxy M51 will be available in two colors: Black and White. Currently, the online Samsung store for Germany shows the price of the unreleased device as €360.01. Pre-orders seem to be open and those who are interested may do so on the Samsung Germany website.
