Get Disaffected!

Persuasive Games has released "Disaffected!", a game where you stick it to the man and the man is your local Kinkos shop.

"Disaffected!" puts you in the shoes of an employee that works at a national chain print service shop where you have to deal with the daily frustrations of retail work and taking care of customers to make sure that their orders are processed swiftly.

MTV.com recently had an interview with Ian Bogost, Partner at Persuasive Games and one of the developers behind "Disaffected!". In this interview, Ian explains the reasons behind making this game and what he hopes will be taken into consideration after playing such a game:

"The point is not necessarily to criticize the frontline workers in these stores but rather to open up a set of problems that the player may then think about," he said. "We're hoping this experience is a gateway drug to more sophisticated critique."

"Disaffected!" is a free game for both Windows and the Macintosh operating systems, weighing under 5MB for the entire application. It doesn't have a lot of substance to it (two action buttons and simple up/down/left/right movement), but you do begin to feel the pressure after a few levels.
