Yesterday, it emerged that Verizon is preparing to release its official Windows 10 Mobile upgrade for the Lumia Icon. We've been checking for the update all day, and it hasn't come through yet - but as you can see for yourself on Verizon's Software Updates site, it is due for release imminently.
In preparation for its release, Verizon has published a new 'simulator' on its support site, offering easy-to-follow, step-by-step guides, to help users find their way around Windows 10 Mobile on the Lumia Icon, after upgrading from Windows Phone 8.1.
There's a wide range of walkthroughs available, covering all sorts of topics - from the basics, such as using the Start screen; to other tasks that might not be so easy for less tech-savvy users to master, such as adding a corporate email account, or connecting to a wireless network for the first time.
There's even a guide on how to set up Kid's Corner in the OS - but you can expect that to disappear in the near future. Microsoft announced last week that it will remove Kid's Corner from Windows 10 Mobile when it rolls out the Anniversary Update this summer.
You can check out the Windows 10 Mobile simulator for the Lumia Icon here on the Verizon website. You can also find out how to upgrade to the new OS in our handy guide here.
Earlier this month, Verizon released its Windows 10 Mobile update for another handset in its range, the Lumia 735.
