The second year of updates to Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands has focused on crossover events with other Ubisoft games in the Tom Clancy universe. Joining the Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six Siege missions with Wildlands' Special Operation 3 update tomorrow is a crossover with Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, the previous entry in the main franchise.
Named Silent Spade, the free mission introduces Scott Mitchell to the game, who has arrived in Bolivia to get support from the Ghosts. The mission will involve helping the still-rookie Ghost John Kozak investigate a nuclear threat in the country. Fans of the series will be familiar with these names.
Moreover, completing the mission will give the Ghosts access to the stealth boosting Optical Camo Backpack, a prototype to the cloaking device seen in Future Soldier.
The Special Operations 3 update also carries a photo mode, cosmetic items, as well as new maps and classes for the game's Ghost War PVP mode. However, note that the two new classes will only be available to Year 2 season pass owners for now, with everyone else getting access on December 18. The full patch notes can be read here.
The free Ghost Recon Wildlands update releases across all platforms tomorrow December 11, with it weighing in at 5.8GB on Steam, 18.1GB on Uplay, and up to 18GB on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
