The upcoming new cyberpunk slasher Ghostrunner was unveiled towards the end of last year. Publisher All In! Games first showed off the gameplay for the title at Gamescom 2019. Initially, the video game was announced for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. Eventually, a Nintendo Switch version was also added.
Today, the number of platforms the game will be available on was expanded further to include next-gen consoles. Ghostrunner will be making its way to the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S. As usual, those who choose to buy the current-gen version of the cyberpunk-themed title will be upgraded to the next-gen version of the game for free.

The official blurb for the game reads:
"Ghostrunner's original setting blends science-fiction and post-apocalyptic themes. Dharma Tower, humanity's last shelter after a world-ending cataclysm, is torn by violence, poverty, and chaos. Thrown into the middle of the conflict, you must use your unique bond with technology to ascend the superstructure. Discover the story of a world that has already ended and whose inhabitants must fight to survive."
Ghostrunner is scheduled to launch for the current-gen platforms on October 27, 2020. Meanwhile, the next-gen release has been slated for next year. A concrete release date is yet to be revealed. Pre-orders for the game are currently open and can be placed on its official website.
