Google's Chromecast was released nearly two years ago and is still one of the more affordable streaming devices on the market to date. Expectedly, due to its price, the Chromecast does not offer some of the more common features like an Ethernet port. Luckily, Google has released an Ethernet adapter that will support a wired connection to the streaming dongle.
Google's Chromecast was an interesting product when it first launched and continues to be so today. The wireless streaming device can accept content from any supported device and display it to to any HDMI source. After nearly two years, Google has launched an Ethernet adapter for the Chromecast that will allow those without a suitable wireless connection to use the device. While nothing new in terms of technology, the Ethernet device offers a microUSB on one end, and a Ethernet on the other.
The 'Ethernet Adapter' for Chromecast is priced at $15 USD and is available for purchase via the Google Play Store. Unfortunately, at the time of this writing, the adapter is out of stock.
