Google's Tez, its India-exclusive service that leverages the country's United Payments Interface (UPI) model, had recently seen a rebrand, unifying it with the company's pre-existing money transfer brand, Google Pay.
For enthusiasts that have been keeping track, this is the second major Pay-related rebranding the company has done. Previously, Android Pay and Google Wallet were combined into what is now Google Pay, and now, Tez has joined the fold.
Beyond minor cosmetic changes done to reflect the new branding, the functioning of the app itself remains vastly unchanged. The service will continue to use the Indian UPI model instead of Google's proprietary one utilized in the U.S. and other markets.
The update should be available for iOS users already, and you can download it yourself from here.
