Google's as-yet unannounced Chromecast with Google TV dongle has been spotted at one of The Home Depot's retail stores, where it appears to be available to purchase. Interestingly, the device's availability on some store shelves comes just two days prior to Google's hardware event where it's expected to announce its new Chromecast, latest smart speaker, and new Pixel phones.
Like the recent leaks claimed, the Chromecast is available to buy for $50, as per a Twitter user who posted an image of the device sitting in one of The Home Depot's retail shelves. The product's receipt also supposedly mentioned "Sabrina-Abbey Rock Candy" instead of Chromecast, in line with the device's codename.
Is there anything we don't know or haven't seen at this point? Dude picked it up at Home Depot for $50. https://t.co/YiPh6RL42d pic.twitter.com/t2mr4o15iF

The pre-release product also corroborates some details from earlier leaks about Google's upcoming Chromecast successor. In addition to its price, the hardware that's showing up on The Home Depot runs Google TV, the rumored new version of Android TV. It also features a white finish called "snow".
The hardware doesn't seem to be available on all Home Depot locations, however. It won't be too long, though, before Google officially takes the wraps off the next-generation Chromecast along with its other hardware products.
