Warner Bros. Games Montréal unveiled its latest project to be Gotham Knights back in 2020, a new take on the Batman action game formula that puts the focus on the Bat Family. While it originally touted a 2021 launch, the game was delayed to 2022 due to the studio requiring more time. Now, it has a firm launch date attached to it: October 25.
Similar to the old Arkham series, Gotham Knights offers players an open-world action experience, though this time with hero switching capabilities between Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood, as well as two-player cooperative play. Batman is seemingly dead in this version of Gotham, and the Bat Family is trying to continue his legacy.

The game is not set in the same universe as Rocksteady's Arkham franchise. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is what's continuing that series, with Rocksteady taking players to Metropolis for a cooperative game of its own, also ditching Batman as the protagonist.
Gotham Knights is hitting PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The new October 25 launch date has the title landing just a couple of weeks behind Starfield. While the two games' genres aren't similar, there is a big possibility that the Bethesda title will eat into the launch numbers of Gotham Knights.
