Microsoft regularly updates its Windows Store with new deals related to apps, games, movies, TV shows and music. It kicked off the Windows Store Countdown Sale at the end of last year, slashed up to 93% off various titles in its Black Friday sale, and offered deep discounts in its "Ready, Set, Summer" promotion prior to that as well.
Last week, Microsoft revealed a rather appealing deal for The Walking Dead fans, and now with this year's Academy Awards just around the corner, the company has offered an equally - if not more - enticing deal for movie-watchers in the US.
Until Feb 27, 2017, Microsoft is offering various Oscar-winning titles for $4.99 (excluding taxes) each. To sweeten the deal further, the company will also be providing customers with $5 Windows Store gift cards for each eligible purchase. It is also very interesting to note that the discounts are valid for only the HD versions of the movies and not the SD versions, which is an added bonus.
The offer not only lists older Oscar winning movies such as The Godfather and The Sting, but also relatively new titles including Whiplash and The Hateful Eight. The full list, comprising of 32 movies can be viewed below:
- Gladiator Extended Edition
- The Godfather
