Microsoft's media services for Windows 10 have received major updates bringing the ability to share playlists for Groove and video overlay for Movies & TV.
The update to the Groove Music app brings the ability to share your personal playlists with friends and preview its library if you're not a subscriber to the service. However, you need to make sure that your friends are running the current version of Groove in order to take advantage of the "shared playlist" feature. You can also text yourself links to install the app on iOS and Android.
This update bumps the app to version 10.17012.1030 and you can get the update for Groove Music here.
Movies & TV
The update to the Movies & TV app delivers an "always on top" feature for PCs running the Creators Update, which allows your video to be at the front when multitasking with the mini mode. This is the Compact Overlay mode that's coming with the Creators Update, which is reportedly replacing Snap mode on Xbox One. The update also brings support for more video formats to the app, including MPEG-2 for which you need to download an extension, another CU-specific feature.
The app version has been bumped up to 10.17012.1030.0 and you can grab the update here.
