Thanks to nekrosoft13 in BPN for the heads up.
In Take Two Interactive's financial conference call earlier this morning, company executives revealed some more info about upcoming release dates for games that was not mentioned in their earlier press release.
PC gamers will be happy to know that a PC version of the massive PS2 hit Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is confirmed and is scheduled for release in the spring of 2003. Rockstar execs also announced that Max Payne 2 will appear in late 2003 although gaming platforms for that title were not revealed.
During the conference call's question and answer period, Take Two execs said they were not ready to announce a solid release date for 3D Realms's long awaited shooter Duke Nukem Forever and will not announce a shipping date until about 90 days before the game is ready to be released. Take Two execs also said they currently have no plans to use the engine used in Bungie's hit game Halo for any game even though they currently have the rights to create two games using that engine as part of the agreement with Microsoft with the purchase of Bungie back in 2000.
