Steampunk ship-based multiplayer shooter, Guns of Icarus Online, turns five on Sunday, and to celebrate, the game is being given away for free on the Humble Store.
The game is purely multiplayer, with every player being assigned to one of the various steampunk inspired airships as a crew member. Each ship can house four crew members, with three different classes to choose from: gunner, engineer, and pilot. Every crew's goal is to take out the opposing airships while outmaneuvering and hopefully outgunning them, all the while trying the keep their own crafts afloat.
The game's official description taken from the store page reads as follows:
Slip the surly bonds of earth and take to the skies as a bold Captain, fearless Gunner, or cunning Engineer. Raising the stakes on team-based PvP combat with an emphasis on strategic competition and team play, Guns of Icarus Online is all about teamwork, tactics, and fast-paced action. With a good ship and the right crew, you can conquer the skies!
Anyone who is interested in flying giant floating airships while trying to shoot down everything in their sights can now claim Guns of Icarus Online via the Humble Store for the next two days. The Humble Store is providing a Steam key for the game, playable on Windows, macOS, and Linux
