It is almost time for another Halo release on PC, with 343 Industries today announcing that the Halo: The Master Chief Collection on the platform will be receiving the fan-favorite Halo 3 on July 14.
This Master Chief adventure arrives only a couple of months after Halo 2: Anniversary landed on PC, and finally lets PC players experience the finale of the original trilogy and "finish the fight". Halo 3 has been an Xbox platform exclusive since its launch in 2007, never arriving to PC despite Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2's appearances on the platform.
Halo 3 PC Insider testing sessions concluded just over a week ago after multiple extensions to really tighten up the port. Aside from the massively popular campaign and multiplayer offerings of Halo 3, the game's launch will also herald Forge mode, the much-needed audio fixes for Halo: Reach, new customization options, a new season of cosmetics to unlock with 100 new items, a challenges system, and more.
Halo 3 will be a part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC starting July 14, with the full pack available via the Microsoft Store, Steam, and the Xbox Game Pass for PC subscription. The title will also be available as a separate purchase on the two aforementioned stores.
