343 Industries announced today that it is finally preparing to bring Halo 3: ODST Firefight to the Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a component that has been missing from the experience since Halo 3: ODST was introduced to the Master Chief Collection on Xbox One in 2015.
The add-on that delivered ODST to the package only included the campaign, and anyone looking for Firefight action have had to look towards Halo: Reach's offering. But now, the mode will be entering both the PC and Xbox One versions of Halo: The Master Chief Collection later this summer. A more specific date wasn't shared.
Meanwhile, the Halo 3 PC Insider tests should be "right around the corner", carrying campaign, multiplayer, Forge, and other components. Anyone interested in joining the tests should head over to Halo Insider program and sign up, or update any existing information. It's very likely that the program will be used to test the upcoming ODST Firefight mode as well across both platforms.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is currently available for purchase on the Microsoft Store for Xbox One and PC as well as via Steam. So far, the PC version has received Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, and Halo 2: Anniversary.
