Halo 3 PC Insider test gets another extension, now concluding on June 29

The latest Halo: The Master Chief Collection Insider flight running under 343 Industries' supervision kicked off on June 12, testing a Halo 3 PC build before the highly-anticipated shooter lands on the new platform. The flight's end date was pushed back once already, but today, 343 Industries' Tyler Davis confirmed that the test has received another extension.

The Halo 3 PC flight will now run through the weekend, coming to an end on June 29 at 10AM PT unless the developer deems further testing is necessary. The current flight received an update yesterday also, fixing quite a few previously known issues as well as new ones reported by the community.

343 Industries has now invited essentially everyone who has signed up to the Halo Insider program to participate in the latest PC flight across Microsoft Store and Steam. This even includes those who have Xbox selected as their testing platform of choice, making sure nobody is left behind. The invite will contain details on what's inside the latest test, known issues, and what multiplayer playlists will be active during which time periods, since the matchmaking options rotate every day.

Judging by previous tests, once the Halo 3 Insider sessions conclude, the full release should follow along quite soon. It's likely that Halo 3 will launch on PC via the Master Chief Collection sometime in July, the same month Microsoft and 343 Industries are expected to unveil more details on the latest entry, Halo Infinite.
