Halo 5 got off to a record-breaking start back in November of last year. Since then, 343 Industries has been working hard to offer free regular updates to the online multiplayer of Halo 5. The updates have brought in new fan-made maps, new REQ packs, Spartan armor customizations and more. With the next Halo 5 DLC, Ghosts of Meridian, the trend of releasing these multiplayer add-ons will continue.
Expected to release in early April, Ghosts of Meridian features a large number of new maps for the game's Big Team Battle and Griffball multiplayer gametypes. Those that played Halo 2 and Halo 3 will recognize a couple of the community-made maps coming for Big Team Battle. In total, six new Big Team Battle and nine Griffball maps are being added to Halo 5 via the Ghosts of Meridian DLC. If you're more of a Warzone fan, then you'll be happy to know that the studio-created Skirmish at Darkstar is confirmed as a new playable map for the 12v12 multiplayer variant.
In addition to maps, 343 Industries is adding new weapons, themed vehicles and armor sets for players to unlock through the REQ system. "Hannibal" themed vehicles plus Tartarus' Gavel (a gravity hammer) will be accessible through REQ unlocks. As for the armor, you'll want to check out the Dynast and Mark V Alpha Reflex sets.
As if all of these add-ons aren't enough, there's still more to be included in the Ghosts of Meridian DLC that hasn't been announced yet. If you'd like to get a glimpse at all of the new maps and more, just click on the source link below.
