In March, France-based developer Quantic Dream, the makers of the impressive PS3 exclusive adventure game Heavy Rain, released a video showing a concept demo called Kara. The video, which showed some advanced graphics and motion capture effects, was said to be a year old when the video was released.
While the video showed a demo concept and not a real game, a new report at Computer and Video Games claims via unnamed sources that Quantic Dream will in fact reveal its next game during Sony's pre-E3 2012 press conference next week. In fact, the unnamed sources claims that Quantic Dream is currently working on two projects for Sony, although it's possible one of them could be for a platform other than the PS3.
Released in 2010, Heavy Rain received praise from critics and gamers for its graphics and for its innovative gameplay, which revolved around the search for a serial killer. In 2011, Quantic Dream head David Cage said that Heavy Rain had sold two million copies.
Sony's pre-E3 2012 press conference is scheduled to begin at 6 pm Pacific Time (9 pm Eastern time) on Monday, June 4th, the day before E3 2012's exhibit doors open. NeoGamr will be there to live stream the proceedings.
