On Friday, Microsoft released a bunch of firmware updates for the Surface Pro 4, but unfortunately, we weren't able to tell what exactly got fixed, since the company didn't publish a changelog. All we were left with was a list of what got updated, but no indication of what those updates do.
And being that it was a Friday, that meant that it would be a few days before we ever found out. Today, though, the firm finally published a changelog. Here's what's new:

The suite of updates checks off every box in the 'Value Indicator' table, including security, reliability, connectivity, compatibility, performance, and battery life. It's quite a large series of updates for the aging device, which seems even more odd given that it had already received new firmware for the new Type Covers just nine days before.
