Earlier today, Microsoft released a series of driver updates for its Surface Book. As usual, the company didn't offer any release notes at the same time that it offered them; however, unlike the updates that the device received at the end of last month, we won't have to wait through the entire weekend in suspense.
The changelog is now available, and for once, it was offered in a reasonable amount of time, as long as your standard for reasonable isn't the actual time that the updates were released. Here's what's new:
Windows Update History Name |
Device Manager Name |
---|---|
Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) Precise Touch Device |
Intel(R) Precise Touch Device
|
NVIDIA driver update for NVIDIA GeForce GPU |

|
Microsoft driver update for Surface UEFI |

Oddly enough, there were no Surface Pro 4 updates that shipped alongside these. This was also the case with last month's Book drivers, but it usually isn't, as the two devices are typically updated in parallel. In fact, the Pro 4 hasn't received new firmware since the end of August.
