Just a couple of days ago, Rockstar Games unexpectedly teased a Red Dead title on Twitter. One day later, the company also teased an artwork of the game, which unveiled the title as Red Dead Redemption 2, slated for a release in fall 2017. Now, as promised, the first trailer for the highly-anticipated game has finally been released online.
As can be seen, the trailer is quite short and clocks in at slightly over a minute. Most of the trailer focuses on the western surrounding and nature, with nothing in terms of story or characters given away. However, this is quite expected, given the fact that the game isn't due until late next year.
It is also important to note that Rockstar Games has only explicitly confirmed the game's launch on Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, with no word of a PC release as of yet. This might be slightly unsurprising for fans of the Red Dead series, as Rockstar previously refused to release the original Red Dead Redemption on PC, with a developer saying "we never even seriously talked about [a PC port]." It is also very possible that Rockstar Games will be banking on open-world multiplayer features to attract more gamers to the upcoming title.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is slated for a release in fall 2017 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Specific Pricing, story and availability details are yet to be announced.
