A sequel to the 2016 Hitman title was announced earlier this year with IO Interactive at the helm as the developer once again. The sequel will not be using the episodic format from the previous game, with Agent 47 having access to multiple new regions from the get-go. And now, the studio has announced that the six sprawling locations from the original will also be making an appearance in the new title.
Incoming with the title Hitman Legacy Pack, this DLC will contain Paris, Sapienza, Marrakesh, Bangkok, Colorado, and Hokkaido as fully playable locations in the new game. Although the missions may be familiar, these locations will make use of new features from Hitman 2, such as letting players hide in foliage, better crowds and combat AI, a new progression system, upgraded visuals, as well as new weaponry, and more.
Also, players who own the original game won't have to fork over anything to get these updated locations, since they will receive the Hitman Legacy Pack as free downloadable content. It does seem like new players will be able to purchase the pack separately once the game launches as well, but a price was not shared.
IO Interactive's Hitman 2 is slated to release on November 13 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Those who pre-order gain immediate access to the game's new cooperative Sniper Assassin mode as an early bonus.
