Two classic Hitman titles are getting a fresh coat of paint as they prepare to relaunch on modern consoles. IO Interactive announced Hitman HD Enhanced Collection today for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which includes newly remastered editions of Hitman: Blood Money (2006) and Hitman: Absolution (2012).
The studio says that these two games have been updated to be playable in 4K resolution at 60fps on the two modern consoles. However, it's unclear if these couple of features are exclusive to the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro variants as we've seen with other games.
In addition to those, here are the rest of the enhancements that this remastered collection will feature:
- Increased texture resolution
- Upgraded texture formats
- Super-sampling
- Upscale support
- Heightened shadow map and mirror resolutions
- Improved lighting
- Updated controls for a more fluid experience
This edition isn't the only way that Xbox One owners can experience these two older titles, as both Blood Money and Absolution have been included in the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program for some time now. However, the new enhancements - which only PC players had access to till now - could be a good enough incentive to jump into Agent 47's old boots again.
Hitman HD Enhanced Collection's release will be digital only, happening next week on January 11.
