HMD Global unveiled the Nokia 8.3 5G in March along with other devices including the Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 1.3. At that time, the mid-range phone was only available in Europe.
Today, HMD confirmed that the Nokia 8.3 5G is coming to the U.S. in the fall (via Android Central). There's no word for now whether the handset will be available via a U.S. carrier and how much it will cost. In Europe, it is priced at €599 for the 6GB/64GB variant and €649 for the 8GB/128GB configuration.
As a brief recap, the smartphone sports a 6.81-inch FullHD+ PureDisplay and is powered by a Snapdragon 765G SoC. It also features a PureView quad-camera setup at the back with a 64MP main sensor and ZEISS branding. It's backed up by a 4,500mAh battery.
Today's announcement comes alongside HMD's appointment of Juho Sarvikas as its Vice President for North America. He will be responsible for consolidating the Finnish company's product marketing efforts and bolstering its ties with carriers to bring future Nokia devices to the North American market. He will also oversee HMD's plans to grow its prepaid and postpaid portfolio in the U.S.
