Fitness wearables have become quite popular over the past couple of years, with a lot of companies releasing their own interpretation of a device that encompasses fitness tracking and also smart capabilities that can pair with a phone. Honor has been known to produce a wealth of different products that go beyond the scope of mobile phones, and now it appears that company may soon announce a new fitness tracker in the form of the Honor Band 3.
Honor has previously experimented with fitness wearables with the Honor Band A2, which offered a monochrome OLED display and heart rate monitor. Honor has sent out press invitations to an upcoming event; the invite doesn't offer much in the way of hints about the product itself, but does have a "3" boldly emblazoned on the invite.
The Band 3 is expected to be a more premium device, that could utilize better materials and offer more protection from the elements.
Although Honor does have a presence in the United States, it has not debuted its fitness watch there. Most recently it announced its own selfie stick and also the affordable Honor 6X smartphone. While its plans for the US are currently unknown, the firm is rumored to be announcing the Honor 9 on June 12 in China.
