Today, HP is refreshing its lineup of Pavilion laptops, which can be considered entry-level to casual. As usual, it's all about bringing mainstream features down the product line. These laptops also include post-consumer recycled and ocean-bound plastics, and HP says that these PCs will keep around 92,000 plastic bottles out of oceans and landfills.
These new Pavilion laptops - coming in 13-, 14-, and 15-inch sizes - come with Intel's new Tiger Lake processors, which are its second-generation 10nm chips, and they have its new Iris Xe graphics. This is also the first time that HP is putting the new CPUs in consumer laptops.
"When it comes to PCs for the newest generation of users, we want to help power their fun not only during the pandemic but in the years to come," said Kevin Frost, global lead and general manager, Consumer, Personal Systems, HP Inc. "HP packs powerful performance features and a youthful, colorful premium design into its newest Pavilion clamshells, making them accessible to everyone to stay connected, entertained, and learning."
If Iris Xe isn't enough, the 14- and 15-inch models will offer Nvidia GeForce MX450 graphics, and you'll also have the option on the Pavilion 15 to get AMD's Ryzen 4000 processors instead of Tiger Lake. On top of that, HP is promising eight and a half hours of battery life on the Pavilion 13, with even more on the 14 and 15, and they also come with things like HDMI 2.0, Wi-Fi 6, and more.
All the new Pavilions are coming in October. The Pavilion 13 starts at $679.99 from HP.com, Amazon, Costco, and other retailers. The Pavilion 14 starts at $579.99 from HP.com and other U.S. retailers. Finally, the Pavilion 15 starts at $599.99, and you can get it from HP.com, Amazon, Costco, and other U.S. retailers.
