For the last few weeks, HP has been offering buyers in the United States a $100 discount on the Elite x3, its flagship-class Windows 10 Mobile handset. The device is usually priced at $799, which includes the Desk Dock accessory that enables the PC-like Continuum mode, allowing owners to use a mouse and keyboard with the device when connected to a larger display.
HP has now extended the discount, and is now offering a further $100 savings for those who add the Lap Dock accessory to their purchase. The $599 Lap Dock is a notebook-style device that provides users with a Continuum experience on the go.
The combined savings of the deal will reduce the total purchase price by $200, from $1,398 to $1,198.
The Microsoft Store is offering a similar bundle that includes the Elite x3, Desk Dock and Lap Dock, but it's priced at $1,298 - that's $100 higher than HP's current price, and almost $300 above the promotional price at which it was offered over the holiday season.
