HP releases new accessories for the HP Pro x2 and the Elite x3

Windows 10 Mobile may not have had any presence in this year's Mobile World Congress being held in Barcelona, but 2-in-1's are making a splash for the Windows 10 club. HP has now introduced accessories for its newly launched HP Pro x2 and its flagship mobile device, the Elite x3.

The accessories for HP Pro x2 include a rugged case featuring a 360-degree rotating hand strap, the Elite USB-C Dock to turn your device into a virtual desktop, and the USB-C travel hub for pass-through connectivity for displays and USB devices.

HP Pro x2 612 G2 Rugged Case: Ideal for customers in extreme work environments, this case features a 360-degree rotating hand strap, shoulder strap, stylus holder, optional port plugs and is compatible with the Pro x2’s keyboard.

HP Elite USB-C Dock: Turning your device into a virtual desktop, this new dock is enterprise IT ready, and is compatible with devices like the Pro x2 that have a multi-function Type-C USB port or devices with a Thunderbolt port.

HP USB-C Travel Hub: Ideal for mobile professionals who need access to additional peripheral ports while on-the-go, this solution delivers pass-through connectivity for displays and USB devices and charging for the Pro x2 or Elite x3 while the device is being used – with one USB-C cable.

The Elite x3's additions include the mobile scanner that we wrote about earlier this month that will be sold for $999 along with the phone as a mobile solution. The barcode scanner is being targeted at the enterprise market, not unlike the device itself. The HP Pro x2 612 G2 Rugged Case ($49), USB-C Travel Hub($49), and the Mobile scanning solution are available now while the Elite USB-C dock is expected to be available in March for $129.
