The Microsoft store is offering the HP Stream 7 'Signature Edition' for just $79 online, that's already a saving of $21 from its retail launch price. Back in November this tablet was also featured in the Black Friday sales at $99, but the deal included a years subscription of Office 365 at the time.
This time to further sweeten the deal, Microsoft has chucked in a years subscription of Office 365 Personal (worth $69.99) and a Windows Store Gift card valued at $25 bringing the value of "freebies" up to $84.99, or more than the price of the tablet itself, so essentially you are getting it free.
Here's a look at some of the specifications:
- 7-inch HD IPS touchscreen 800x1280
- Intel Atom Z3735G quad core 1.33 GHz with Burst Technology up to 1.83 GHz
- 1GB DDR3L-RS 1333 MHz
- 32GB eMMC Storage
- OS: Windows 8.1 with Bing, 32-bit
- MicroSD slot
- 2MP back-facing camera, 0.3MP front-facing camera
- Wifi 802.11b/g/n (Miracast enabled)
- 0.78 lbs (353.8 g)
The only fine print we could find is that the Windows Store Gift card is valid until the end of December 2015, and the Office 365 subscription activation is required "within a limited time." Still, if you're in the market for a Windows tablet, this looks too good to pass up.
