HP announced some new features for its OMEN Command Center app today at gamescom. Built into HP gaming PCs and available for all Windows 10 PCs from the Microsoft Store, the app allows you to control your RGB lighting, cooling, overclocking, and more.
One new feature is a Rewards program, coming in beta form to the United States and globally later on. Players can earn prizes, choosing between various challenges and rewards. According to HP, new challenges will be added often.
There's also a coaching feature, an AI-based tool that's powered by Mobalytics. The AI coach will create a gaming performance index (GPI), and it will create a multifaceted assessment of your gameplay. Don't worry though; this all happens after you're done playing, so you can't use it to cheat. It will be free for the first year, and the first game to support it is League of Legends.
HP is adding a My Games feature to OMEN Command Center, which will allow you to put all of your games in one place. You'll also be able to pin your favorite games, just in case you have a large collection that's hard to sort through. There's a Game Time tab as well, which will let you see how much time you spend playing each game, and that can be aggregated into weekly and monthly views.
Finally, you'll be able to create profiles based on mood, activity, and games. Naturally, profiles have support for the OMEN Sequencer Keyboard and the OMEN Photon Mouse.
