Hot on the heels of the HTC 10 launch, the company has just unveiled a new lower-tiered smartphone, dubbed the One S9. What’s interesting about this smartphone is that it takes many design cues from the One A9 on the front (with the added bonus of BoomSound speakers) and the One M9 on the back. It seems HTC wanted to give us the best of both.
Specifications for the device are decent with a 5” 1080p super LCD display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 octacore chipset and has a respectable 2840mAh battery. Front and back cameras are 13MP and 2MP respectively and it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
The device offers a great design and shouldn’t break the bank for those who aren’t quite ready to shell out for an HTC 10, although pricing and availability have yet to be announced. Check out the product page for more details on the One S9.
