Many were not impressed when HTC announced its U Ultra handset back in January. Despite it being a new product, it did not offer the latest Snapdragon processor many had hoped for. Luckily, the firm more recently unveiled its U11, that offers Edge Sense technology and the latest chipset from Qualcomm. Luckily, it looks like the public has embraced the U11, with it having an excellent first month on the market.
According to a statement from HTC's president of smartphone and connected device division Chang Chia-lin, less than a month after going on sale, the handset has outsold its predecessors, the One M9 and 10. Although this is certainly an impressive bit of news, the firm did not offer any sales numbers for the U11. In comparison, Samsung had an impressive outing within its first few weeks, selling 5 million handsets of its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.
The unlocked HTC U11 is now available directly from HTC or Amazon. For those in the United States, it is also available from Sprint.
