When Huawei first announced the P20 and P20 Pro earlier this year, the devices caught some attention with its new Twilight color, a gradient from cyan to purple on the metallic glass back. Today at IFA 2018, the firm announced four more colors for the device, including two new gradients and two that come in leather.
The two new gradient colors are called Morpho Aurora and Pearl White. You can see that Morpho Aurora sort of looks like Twilight, but it starts with black. It's inspired by the Morpho butterfly. Pearl White is a more subtle gradient, inspired by mother-of-pearl.
The leather colors are Elegant Black and Golden Brown. Previously, all P20 Pro models had a glass back, so leather could be good if you're afraid of shattering the device. After all, the phone doesn't support wireless charging, so when Huawei switched from a metal body to a glass body, there was no real benefit besides aesthetics.
The new gradient colors for the P20 will cost €649, and they'll include 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The gradient colors will cost €899 on the P20 Pro, while the leather backs will cost €999. They'll be available in Europe beginning on September 5, and as usual, there will not be any official U.S. availability.
