The MateBook X that Huawei introduced last year was a wonderful Windows 10 laptop. It has phenomenal audio with Dolby Atmos, a best-in-class fingerprint sensor that read your fingerprint before the PC even booted, and it was unbelievably thin and light.
This year's MateBook X Pro takes all of the best from last year's model and adds more. The screen is a bit larger, from 13.3 inches to 14 inches. The 3:2 aspect ratio leaves it with a 3000x2000 resolution. Plus, despite its thinness, there's now multitouch in the screen, and there's even a USB Type-A port.
Moreover, there's an option for discrete graphics in the Core i7 model with an Nvidia GeForce MX150 with 2GB GDDR5. That makes it one of the thinnest laptops on the market with dedicated graphics.
The webcam is hidden now, with a built-in hardware privacy guard. Gone are the days of putting a piece of tape over your camera. It's now included in the button between the F6 and F7 keys.
